Upon talking to him, he points out how the player beat him last time, but now that he's evolved from Ikkakumon to Zudomon, he won't lose. The player then answers that he has gotten much stronger too since Sage Tower. Zudomon acknowledges it, as he was told by Metal Garurumon that the player beat Yamato, which according to him is an impressive feat, but even with that they can't know who's stronger without battling. Zudomon plays the Hand Weapons deck, a Blue/Water and Black/Darkness deck with 4 attack, 4 defense and 3 evolution speed that's highly effective and loaded with weapons. Upon being defeated, he acknowledges the player's strength and how the player grows much faster than him, then encourages the player to battle Jou, saying he's much tougher than he looks.

Zudomon later appears as the third opponent of Sage Tower's second and third Battle Arenas. Before the first match, he tells the player that he's there to challenge him again, accepting that he was beaten last time but that it doesn't mean they know who will win. Upon being defeated, he acknowledges the player is too good and that he can't catch up to him, but he refuses to give up and asks the player to accept his challenge again.
