During his escape from the Dark Area and battle against Barbamon, Dark Knightmon goes through the X-Evolution at the same time as his rival.

Their fierce battle intensifies in the Old Digital World, with all the surrounding Digimon watching helplessly.

The battle continues while dealing damage to the surroundings. However, the confrontation is interrupted by the arrival of Lord Knightmon (X-Antibody), starting a three-pronged battle between the Royal Knight, the Demon Lord and the Dark Knight.

Subsequently, Duftmon (X-Antibody) joins the battle to aid Lord Knightmon X, with the two Royal Knights managing to overcome Barbamon (X-Antibody). Seeing the Demon Lord's defeat, Dark Knightmon X realizes its disadvantage and silently retreats from the battlefield.
